What is the difference between OBD, Bench and Boot?

Different vehicles and modules may require different connection methods: OBD mode: Connects directly to the vehicle OBD port. It is convenient and suitable for general diagnostics and some programming functions. Bench mode: The ECU/module is removed or partially removed and connected with cables. It is suitable for ECU cloning and module data read/write. Boot mode: Usually requires opening the ECU or connecting specific pins. It is used for deeper data reading, repair or cloning operations. Some vehicles cannot be completed directly via OBD due to immobilizer or security restrictions. Bench or Boot mode may be required.
