GODIAG GT100 OBDII Protocol Detector OBD2 Break Out Box ECU Connector
1. The GODIAG GT100 is mainly used to convert automotive diagnostic OBD pins for signal detection and level conversion.
2. It can supply power to the vehicle when replacing the battery, preventing the vehicle's electrical systems from being automatically locked.
3. It detects vehicle communication by working with any diagnostic tool.
4. Supports OBDII 16-pin protocol communication detection and ECU maintenance, diagnosis, programming, and coding.
What is the GODIAG GT100?
More than a simple OBD-II breakout box, the GODIAG GT100 is a professional OBD-II breakout box designed specifically for off-board module diagnostics and key programming.
Please note: the basic GT100 model does not feature a display readout for voltage and current — that functionality is exclusive to the GT100+ model.
Highlights of the GODIAG GT100:
1) It is the latest testing platform for OBDII protocol communication detection and ECU maintenance, diagnosis, programming, and coding.
2) It converts the vehicle's OBD2 interface into 16 individual pins for signal detection.
3) Capable of connecting to a single ECU module or multiple vehicle modules simultaneously.
4) Can be used with any diagnostic tool to verify whether the vehicle is communicating properly.
5) Compatible with most devices, making your operations much easier — such as Xhorse VVDI2, Autel scanners, Launch scanners, Vident scanners, and more.
6) Can supply power to the vehicle during battery replacement to prevent vehicle control module data loss, automatic lockout, remote key failure, or warning light activation.
7) Ships from EU/UK warehouses for fast delivery with tax-inclusive pricing.
8) Guarantee: One-year warranty.
9) Supports all-keys-lost situations: can activate the instrument panel and wake up the anti-theft module.
- For Porsche and VW 4th generation smart keys & 5th generation card keys (models such as: new A6L, Touareg, A4, Q5, A7): Use the GT100 to short banana pin 16 to pin 1. After the instrument panel powers on, connect the key matching tool to the GT100+ female header for data collection. For some vehicles, the instrument panel may not illuminate, but data can still be collected — for example: A6L, Q7.
- For Toyota: Can replace the engine ECU; also supports shorting pins 13 and 4 with a key programmer when performing all-keys-lost operations for Toyota vehicles.
- For Mitsubishi: For all-keys-lost matching or remote control key all-keys-lost, you need to short OBDII pins 1 and 4.
10) When used with the BMW CAS4 & CAS4+ Test Platform and the BMW FEM/BDC Test Platform, the GT100 can work with Xhorse VVDI2, Lonsdor K518, CGDI, and Autel IM608 to support off-site key programming, all-keys-lost, and new key addition.

GODIAG GT100 Functions in Detail
- By connecting the vehicle and diagnostic tool via OBDII, the GODIAG GT100's LED indicators will show whether the OBDII diagnostic interface has good communication with the vehicle.
- Monitors the voltage of the vehicle's OBDII interface and displays it in real time. If the voltage drops below 11V, stop diagnosis and programming immediately to avoid the vehicle being unable to start, data loss, or module lockout.

GODIAG GT100 OBD2 Breakout Box Functions:
1. OBDII Protocol Detector & Communication Detection
1) Connect the GODIAG GT100 to the vehicle's OBDII diagnostic port.
2) Once the device displays the voltage, turn on the power switch of the GODIAG GT100.
3) Then connect the diagnostic tool. When the tool is communicating with the vehicle, the LED indicator for the corresponding protocol will light up or flash. (If the CAN protocol is detected, the LED will have maximum brightness. When communication is successful, the corresponding CAN-H and CAN-L LEDs will dim or flash faintly.)

2. ECU Connection: Single Module Connection
The GODIAG GT100, when connected to a single ECU module, allows the user to perform single-module diagnosis and programming.
1) Connect the ECU using the colored jumper wires. (If the ECU uses the CAN protocol, check whether a 120Ω terminating resistor is required.)
2) The GODIAG GT100 can be powered either through the vehicle's OBDII diagnostic interface or via an AC power adapter.
3) Perform diagnosis and programming on a single ECU by connecting a diagnostic tool or ECU programmer.

3. Banana Plug Extension Connection
Extends the vehicle's OBDII 16-pin interface, allowing you to test whether the OBDII interface connection is good and facilitating OBDII interface voltage waveform testing.

4. Convert OBD1 Diagnostic Interface to Standard OBD2
Use the appropriate connector to convert an OBD1 diagnostic interface to a standard OBD2 interface, based on the diagnostic interface's communication protocol.

5. Connect Multiple ECU Control Modules Simultaneously
This is convenient for professional engineers performing system-level diagnostics and maintenance.

6. Used as an Extension Cable
When the diagnostic interface location is too narrow to connect the diagnostic tool, or when the diagnostic cable is not long enough during maintenance, the GT100 provides a 1.2-meter extension.

7. Supplies Power to the Vehicle When Replacing the Battery
1. Prepare an auxiliary battery (Battery A) to supply power by connecting it to pins 16, 4, and 5 of the GODIAG GT100 and to the vehicle's OBD2 diagnostic interface.
NOTICE:
1) Turn on the power switch of the GODIAG GT100.
2) Do NOT turn on the ignition switch or start the vehicle.
2. Then replace the old battery in the vehicle with the new battery (Battery B). This ensures that the vehicle maintains full power during the replacement, preventing data loss, audio system lockout, or malfunction caused by power loss to the ECU control modules.

GODIAG GT100 Hardware Connection Diagram:

Each OBD-II pin is equipped with a 4mm safety banana socket and a colored LED for status indication:
- Green on pins 4/5 indicates ground
- Red on pin 16 indicates power
- Blue (flashing) indicates communication lines
Test leads and probes with 4mm banana plugs connect directly into the 4mm safety sockets.
The front panel features 3 switches: a master power switch for the box and two separate 12V outputs for powering modules through the DB25 jumper cable.
